Spring Equinox
A Photographic Immersion into the Heart of Andean Mysteries
September 27 – October 9, 2025
Explore a Unique Cosmic Phenomenon
Step into a rare experience in the heart of the Sacred Valley of the Incas. This themed photo trek invites you to capture the mysterious shadow phenomenon cast by the sacred mountain Pitusiray during the spring equinox. Blending conscious photography with ancestral rituals, it’s an invitation to connect with natural cycles and the Andean cosmovision.

The Mysterious Shadows of Pitusiray: An Inca Agricultural Clock
In Inca times, myth and reality were deeply intertwined—each reflecting the other to preserve the memory of time and space. One striking expression of this union is the mysterious shadows cast upon a vast rock face at the summit of Mount Pitusiray. These shadows served as an agricultural clock, signaling to Inca astronomers the arrival of the spring equinox—and with it, the return of the rainy season.
